Umang is directeur binnen het Private Markets-team bij bfinance, met een focus op Private Debt. Hij heeft meer dan 11 jaar ervaring in het adviseren van institutionele beleggers, met een bijzondere specialisatie in private markets en alternatieve beleggingen.
Voordat hij bij bfinance in dienst trad, bekleedde Umang een leidinggevende functie bij Barnett Waddingham als beleggingsadviseur en hoofd Alternatief Onderzoek, waar hij leiding gaf aan onderzoek en strategie op het gebied van private markets en ondersteuning bood bij de dienstverlening aan klanten. Eerder in zijn carrière werkte hij bij Willis Towers Watson, waar hij institutionele klanten ondersteunde op het gebied van financiering en beleggingsstrategie. Hij begon zijn carrière bij OCBC, waar hij bijdroeg aan toezicht op regelgeving en risicomonitoring.
Umang is Fellow van het Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, is Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) en heeft het CFA-certificaat in particuliere markten en alternatieve beleggingen behaald.
