Elle a plus de 12 ans d'expérience dans le secteur de la gestion de fonds, avec des fonctions antérieures telles que le suivi des gestionnaires d'actions chez Stamford Associates, un cabinet de conseil en investissement basé au Royaume-Uni. Martha est titulaire de la charte CFA, du certificat CFA en investissement ESG, du certificat CFA en climat et investissement et d'une licence de première classe en économie de l'université de Nottingham.
